What to include in your report
The more detail you can provide, the faster we can act.
- Suspicious emails - forward the original email as an attachment where possible, so headers are preserved.
- Websites or social media - the full URL or handle, and how you found it (search result, ad, direct message).
- Text messages or calls - a screenshot of the message and the phone number that contacted you.
- Impersonators - the name they used, how they contacted you, and anything they sent you (documents, business cards, payment instructions).
How to know it's really us
Clear Street will never:
- Ask you to share your password, one-time codes, or two-factor authentication codes with an employee or anyone else. You enter these yourself only when signing in to our website or apps.
- Ask you to download remote-access software or share your screen.
- Ask you to move money, securities, or other assets to "protect" them, or to send funds via payment apps, gift cards, or cryptocurrency.
- Contact you unsolicited with investment advice, trading signals, or promises of guaranteed returns.
- Charge a fee to apply for a job or ask job candidates for banking details before an offer is formally in place.
- Pressure you to act immediately or keep a request secret.
